Job summary

TURN is seeking a Regular Full-time Recovery Counselor in San Diego, CA. This on-site role offers $25.00–$26.00 hourly for 30+ hours per week.

You will provide education, support, and interventions to clients’ recovery from mental health and substance use disorders, plus group and individual counseling, case management, advocacy, and outreach to clients and families. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; life experience in mental health or SUD recovery; and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Life experience in mental health or SUD recovery is valued.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide case consultation, crisis intervention, discharge placement, and both individual and group work.
• Complete accurate documentation and meet requirements for direct billable services.
• Provide peer counseling and support, mentoring clients and families.
• Facilitate placement including pre-placement visits and transportation as needed.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Deliver field-based services as required and maintain client confidentiality.
