The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Peer Specialist to join an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. The role supports physicians and other professionals in delivering care and facilitating recovery for veterans.

Qualified applicants will have at least one year of recovery experience and must meet the English proficiency, certification, and driver license requirements noted in the posting. This is a federal full-time position with applicable Time-In-Grade considerations.

Formación

• One year of specialized experience in post-personal mental health recovery as a mentor.
• Experience as a recovery advocate or psychiatric therapy aide.
• Ability to provide in-person counseling to support mental health recovery.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians and other staff in rehabilitation treatment programs.
• Serve as a mentor and recovery support for peers in care.
• Maintain documentation and ensure effective communication within the team.
