Atrium Health Levine Children’s is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join its Pediatric Neurology team in Concord, NC. The APP (PNP, FNP, or PA-C) will support physicians in both inpatient and outpatient care at Concord Clinic and Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years’ APP experience in pediatrics or neurology, NC licensure or eligibility, and DEA eligibility. A Masters (NP) or DNP is required, with PA candidates also considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of APP experience in pediatrics or neurology.
• Eligible to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina.
• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed.
• Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care.
• Writes prescriptions, orders and interprets lab and imaging studies, and determines treatment plans.
• Documents all patient encounters and actions in the medical record.
• Attends group meetings and contributes to policies and procedures.
• Hybrid position; works at Concord clinic and Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital in Concord, NC.
• No weekends or call.
• Primary sites: Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital and Concord Pediatric Neurology Clinic.

Atrium Health Levine Children’s (AHLC) is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their Pediatric Neurology team. The PNP, FNP, or PA-C will assist the team in providing care for children while under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed physician.

This is a hybrid role encompassing both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

This role requires a minimum of two years of experience as an APP working in either Pediatrics or in Neurology.

This position may be offered full-time or part-time.

Essential Functions:

• Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed.
• Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care.
• Writes appropriate prescriptions, orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations, and determines treatment plan for patients.
• Documents all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient's medical record.
• Attends, participates, and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.
• This is a hybrid position. APP will work in both the Concord clinic and Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital in Concord, NC.
• No weekends.
• No call.
• Primary site: Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital and Concord Pediatric Neurology Clinic

Education, Experience and Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an APP working in either pediatrics or neurology.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina.
• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice required (NP Applicants).
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA Applicants).
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred (PA Applicants)
