Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Via Christi, St. Francis in Wichita, KS. The role supports Pediatric and Burn ICU with a nights, part-time schedule. A sign-on bonus of up to $4,500 is available, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualified candidates hold a Kansas RN license and a Diploma in Nursing. BLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire. The position emphasizes coordinated, patient-centered care and effective discharge planning to ensure safe transitions

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire, AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed by the Kansas Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Champion patient wellness by implementing and evolving personalized care plans.
• Serve as the voice of the patient by monitoring changes and communicating with the medical team.
• Coordinate across medical disciplines to deliver holistic care.
• Interpret and execute physician and nursing orders maintaining safety and excellence.
• Lead discharge planning to prepare families for the journey home.
