• Participate in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation, and in preparing and presenting research results in scientific settings.
• Understand one or more research areas.
• Adapt and, with direction, set up experimental protocols and analytical procedures.
• Participate in theoretical analysis of experimental results and devising subsequent experiments or analyses.
• Keep current on recent trends in specific research interests.
• May maintain equipment, work area and supplies for specific projects.
• Share findings with others.
• May train individuals in specific research areas.
