University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a full-time Pediatric Neurosurgeon to join the Department of Neurosurgery. The Open Rank position is available at Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, with a focus on growing the pediatric neurosurgical program across the Colorado Springs campus and affiliated facilities.
The role involves direct clinical care of children, clinics at Briargate, and inpatient consultations at multiple campuses.
The Department of Neurosurgery at University of Colorado Denver,School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Neurosurgeon.The position will focus on growing the department's Pediatricneurosurgical program at the Children's Hospital Colorado,Colorado Springs and the Briargate outpatient facility .Clinical interests should include general pediatric neurosurgery,with a broad interest in hydrocephalus, congenital malformationsand pediatric trauma. We require a neurosurgeon who is a committedclinician, dedicated to building a strong program through localcollaboration and regional communication. The designatedneurosurgeon will be deeply embedded in the pediatric neurosurgeryfaculty practice, with members based on both the Colorado Springsand Anschutz campuses. Practice support across the campuses will beprovided as needed. All faculty members participate (by remoteaccess) in daily morning rounds, conferences, and grandrounds.
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located inColorado Springs, Colorado.
Neurosurgery at CU is a dynamic, rapidly growing educationalenterprise, and we are one of the largest Departments ofNeurosurgery in the western United States. Currently the Departmentencompasses 4 teaching institutions: University Hospital,Children's Hospital Colorado, the Colorado VA Medical Center andDenver Health and Hospitals, with all but the latter now located onthe 225 acre Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. The AnschutzMedical Campus, is a truly state-of-the-art center for education,clinical programs, research and innovation. Our current facultyincludes 25 Neurosurgeons, 3 Neuro-critical care Intensivists, 4Interventional Neuro-radiologists, 5 Neuropsychologists andmultiple full-time dedicated research Ph.D.'s. Within theDepartment are nine programs of excellence, offering unrivalededucational opportunities for our Residents and Fellows. This role based at Children's Hospital Colorado- Colorado Springsoffers the opportunity to practice within a nationally recognizedpediatric health system while serving children and familiesthroughout southern Colorado. The Pediatric Neurosurgery programprovides expert evaluation and treatment for a wide range ofneurological conditions. Team members collaborate closely withmultidisciplinary specialists across the Children's Coloradonetwork to deliver innovative, evidence-based care. The starting salary range (or hiring range) for thisposition has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor: $656,419
Associate Professor: $727,795
Professor: $799,214
The above salary rate represents the University's good faith andreasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at thetime of posting. This position is not eligible for overtimecompensation unless it is non-exempt.
The above base salaries do not include compensation from potentialincentives or extra call pay.
