Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Pediatrics department at Lakeside Medical Center in Sterling Heights, MI. This part-time role (20 hours/week) supports clinicians with patient intake, vitals, basic procedures, and patient education.

The ideal candidate will have MA training, clinical externship experience, and familiarity with EPIC EMR. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered and the team emphasizes compassionate patient care and teamwork.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival.
• Obtain and record patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during exams.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician.
• Perform basic lab tests and collect/prep lab specimens.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and handle patient correspondence.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and exam rooms.
• Provide patient education and instructions on medical procedures or care.
• Assist in minor surgical procedures and wound care.
• Manage inventory and order medical supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
