Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA seeks a Clinical Associate for the Pediatrics ICU on FLEX shifts (day/evening/night) with every other weekend rotation. You will provide basic clinical support and clerical assistance to the unit health-care team on a 24-bed pediatric unit serving ages birth to 18.

Minimal qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CNA may be required for critical access areas, and BLS-HCP certification. Enthusiasm for teamwork and patient-centered care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and assists patients and visitors with registration.
• May assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Coordinates patient flow and schedules procedures.
• Reviews medical records for orders and medication changes.
• Cleans equipment and gathers supplies between patients.
