Job summary

Friendship Community Care is seeking staff to support children in a Bryant, AR classroom during day shifts. The role involves supervising children, assisting with meals and activities, and ensuring a clean, orderly environment.

Responsibilities include keeping accurate records, participating in trainings, and complying with HIPAA and DHS guidelines. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and CDA credential, with standard childcare duties and occasional additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

• Fills in classrooms as needed and provides lunch/courtesy breaks as dictated by staff schedule.
• Provide assistance with food preparation, food service and inventory as determined by supervisor
• Completes assigned cleaning tasks assigned.
• Assures Quality Standards of Care for Early Childhood programs is met.
• Directly supervises children at all times.
• Works cooperatively with parents/staff members to ensure positive, productive atmosphere.
• Maintains DHS/ABC and DDS staff/child ratios reports out of ratio to supervisor immediately.
• Completes required progress notes and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA policies and FCC procedures.
• Attends trainings and staff meetings; participates in minimum 15 hours of training annually.
