Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Must be certified through the AMT or AAMA or NHA or MedCA as a CCMA/CMA/NAHP/NCCT.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification or Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information to the medical record.
• Assists in examination and treatment under the direction of a physician.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager and supports a patient-centered approach.
