The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to serve as the Director of the Cardiac Cross-sectional Imaging Program with an anticipated start date of November 2026. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment. (Assistant Professors are eligible for a 3-year term eligible for renewal beginning July 1, 2029)
Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30).
Associate and full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
As the second largest Department in the UW School of Medicine, Pediatrics has twenty-one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including approximately 650 paid faculty members, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff employees and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty and continues to grow each year. The Department of Pediatrics is a close affiliate of Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI). Faculty members appointed in the Department are located at various institutions (including Seattle Children’s, UW Medicine, and FHCC), and are part of the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan.

The base salary range for this position will be: Assistant Professors $22,589 - $27,336 per month ($271,068 - $328,032 annually), Associate Professors $26,661 - $31,974 per month ($319,932 - $383,688 annually), Professors $32,858 - $41,175 per month ($394,296 - 494,100 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan], in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Other compensation associated with this position may include incentive through Children’s University Medical Group practice plan.
Additional administrative responsibilities may be offered to a specific candidate with appropriate experience and qualifications which may result in an administrative duty supplement (ADS).
