Job summary

UnityPoint Health's Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Pediatrician to join our outpatient team. You will provide comprehensive primary care to children, perform wellness exams, coordinate with specialists, and support families with preventive care.

The role offers an experienced team, flexible scheduling within a full-time position, and EPIC EMR integration as part of our commitment to pediatric care and physician support.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board eligible or board certified in pediatrics.
• Ability to obtain and hold licensure in Iowa.
• Authorized to prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct routine wellness exams, acute care visits, and developmental screenings.
• Coordinate care with pediatric specialists.
• Educate families on wellness, nutrition, safety, and preventive care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings.
