Position Overview:

The United States Navy is seeking qualified and compassionate Pediatricians to join the U.S. Navy Medical Corps. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children of active-duty service members, their families, and other eligible beneficiaries. You will have the opportunity to serve at military medical facilities both domestically and abroad, treating a diverse patient population while contributing to the overall mission of the U.S. Navy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of common and complex pediatric conditions.
2. Conduct physical examinations, immunizations, and health screenings for pediatric patients.
3. Coordinate and oversee the pediatric care team, ensuring appropriate treatment plans are in place.
4. Educate parents and caregivers on child development, health, and wellness.
5. Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide holistic care and support for military families.
6. Serve as a mentor and leader in the medical community, participating in the training of medical residents, interns, and junior officers.
7. Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care when necessary.
8. Participate in medical research and contribute to the advancement of pediatric care within the Navy.

Required Qualifications:

1. Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
2. Completion of a pediatric residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
3. Board certification in Pediatrics (or eligibility for certification).
4. Active medical license in the United States.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
6. Ability to work in a dynamic and diverse environment, often under pressure.
7. Willingness to deploy and work in various global locations.
8. Ability to pass military physical fitness and medical requirements.
