We are seeking a Pediatrician who is driven by the belief that every child deserves high-quality care.
Minimum Requirements
- Maintenance of unrestricted Massachusetts medical license.
- Completion of the M.D. degree.
- Completion of three years post-graduate residency training in an accredited pediatric residency program.
- AAP Board eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Maintenance of current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substances registrations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality care in a high-volume, multicultural health Center setting.
- Qualification for staff privileges at Baystate Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center, and maintenance of such privileges during job tenure.
- Qualification as a provider for major insurers.
Desirable
- AAP Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Fluency in Spanish, Russian, Arabic, or other language spoken by the Health Center's patient population
- Special expertise in provision of health care to underserved, culturally diverse populations
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide clinical care to children and adolescents
- Perform scheduled on-call duties, or find coverage when unable to participate
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks needed for quality patient care. Participate in Health Center and community health education activities and projects.
Communications
- Demonstrates sensitivity and responds appropriately to verbal and non-verbal communications of patients, families and co-workers. Maintains patient's right to privacy, assuring dignity in the provision of care; is discreet in all communications, written or oral, about the patient's care.
