CommonSpirit Health's CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrics physician to provide comprehensive pediatric and family care in Lexington, KY, with a focus on patient-centered medicine and collaboration.

You will perform annual wellness exams, immunizations, manage chronic conditions, and order diagnostic tests while maintaining thorough EPIC records and participating in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics
• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Active Medical License in the State of Kentucky, or ability to obtain prior to employment
• DEA certificate
• Completion of ACGME Residency in Pediatrics

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrics physician, you will help Pediatric patients of all ages in Lexington, KY receive comprehensive general family practice care so they can achieve and maintain optimal health and wellness with a healthy work-life balance for the provider.

In this role, you will provide a full range of health and wellness services. You will be expected to perform annual wellness exams, sports physicals, care for acute illnesses and minor injuries, manage chronic illnesses like asthma, diabetes, and hypertension, provide diagnostic services (including lab work, vision/hearing testing, blood pressure monitoring), offer preventive care (personalized consultations and health screenings), conduct well-child exams (including immunizations for newborns to adolescents), and provide seasonal support for allergies and the flu. You will also be expected to offer mental health resources and support to your patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics and committed to practicing patient-centered medicine within a collaborative medical community with access to advanced technology.

• Provide full-spectrum pediatric care
• Deliver wellness examinations, health screenings, and immunizations to support disease prevention

• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging
• Offer guidance, counseling, and education on wellness, disease management, and medication adherence to patients and their families
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records, utilizing EPIC appropriately
• Provide and document direct treatment for patients, including ordering medications, referrals, and following up on specialist consultations
• Participate in primary care division activities, including peer review programs, quality metric improvement, and policy development

Job Requirements

Required:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics
• Active Medical License in the State of Kentucky, or ability to obtain prior to employment
• DEA certificate
• Completion of ACGME Residency in Pediatrics
