Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC. seeks a Pediatrician to provide comprehensive medical care for incarcerated youth at Baltimore Juvenile Justice in Baltimore, MD.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment.
• DEA license and CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum of two years’ experience practicing pediatrics; experience with underserved or at-risk youth preferred.
• Prior experience in correctional, community health, or public health setting desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and emergency pediatric medical evaluations.
• Diagnoses and manage acute and chronic illnesses in youth.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and other screenings.
• Provide age-appropriate health education and counseling to patients.
• Collaborate with mental health, nursing, dental, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care.
• Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR) system according to facility guidelines.
• Monitor growth and development milestones and address pediatric-specific health concerns.
• Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and public health protocols.
• Participate in case reviews, quality assurance programs, and medical team meetings.
• Maintain awareness of correctional policies and adapt clinical practice accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment
• DEA license and CPR/BLS certification required
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience practicing pediatrics; experience with underserved or at‑risk youth populations preferred
• Prior experience in a correctional, community health, or public health setting is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Functional Demands

• Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice)
