Job summary

PM Pediatric Care in Paramus, NJ seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform pediatric radiology procedures under physician supervision. The role includes patient prep, taking X-rays, equipment QC, and documentation to ensure safety and quality of care.

The position requires teamwork with physicians and staff, flexibility to work across sister offices, and strong attention to patient safety and confidentiality in line with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program.
• Knowledge of medical practice and terminology, clinic’s processes, and procedures.
• Ability to use sound reasoning and judgment and act calmly in emergencies.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally.
• Knowledge of digital imaging.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (eCW preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift.
• Document repeat exposures and parent holding log with pocket dosimeter read.
• Assist in radiology quality assurance program for radiography equipment.
• Immediately report any equipment malfunctions to management team.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
