Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-ray Tech) to join our pediatric urgent care team. You will perform radiographic procedures under physician supervision, assist with patient care, and support both clinical and administrative operations.

The role requires graduation from a Radiologic Technologist program, strong knowledge of digital imaging, and experience with electronic health records (eCW preferred).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
• Knowledge of medical practice, terminology, clinic processes, and procedures.
• Ability to use sound reasoning and judgment and act calmly in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and nonverbally.
• Knowledge of digital imaging.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (eCW preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift.
• Document repeat exposures and parent holding log with pocket dosimeter read.
• Assist in radiology quality assurance program for radiography equipment.
• Immediately report any equipment malfunctions to management team.
• Help patients in distress by promptly notifying medical staff of emergencies.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team.
• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes to management team.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Enhance health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and challenging requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Assist patients with complaints and take an active role in service recovery when needed.
