Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Indianapolis, IN. The role requires 1 year of acute care experience and NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS; PALS/NRP may be needed in some sites.

The Peds-RRT will manage respiratory and cardiology modalities, document patient care, maintain equipment, and work with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes. Travel duties include 12-hour nights, 48 hours weekly over 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• NBRC-RRT, BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in multiple clinical areas according to procedural guidelines.
• Administer a range of respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedures.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other staff to optimize patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
