Qualifications

• Principles of effective management, supervision and training.
• Principles, methods, and basic theory of physical rehabilitation for children with physical disabilities.
• Anatomy and physiology of skeletal, muscular, neural structures and related pathologies.
• Equipment and methods used to evaluate and mitigate physical handicaps.
• Understanding of normal growth and development and related abnormalities.
• Principles and functions of psychology, teaching, public health nursing, and physical/occupational therapy in cerebral palsy rehab.
• Quality assurance standards.
• State California Children Services statutes, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Manage physical and occupational therapy programs under State CCS guidelines.
• Coordinate with CCS and other agencies.
• Assist with program budget, reimbursement and revenue processes.
• Supervise therapists, aides and clerks; evaluate staff.
• Develop and update policies for the medical therapy unit.
• Plan objectives, implement quality assurance.
• Serve as clinical consultant to medical staff.
• Conduct in-service training and schedule clinics and vendor services.
• Administer diagnostic exams of muscle, nerve, and function.
• Administer therapy exercises; follow physician instructions.
