Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a registered nurse to join a brand-new 24-bed pediatric complex surgical unit. You will provide care for all pediatric ages across Orthopedics, General Surgery & Urology, Solid Organ Transplant and ESRD, with 2:1 nursing in half the beds and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to deliver family-centered care.

This full-time role requires a BSN and at least 1 year of inpatient acute RN experience; pediatric experience and PALS/ACLS are preferred; MA RN

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• A minimum of 1+ years of inpatient acute RN experience required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• PALS or ACLS preferred.
• Massachusetts RN Licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Working on a brand new 24 bed complex surgical unit.
• Providing care for all pediatric patients (all ages), including Orthopedics, General Surgery & Urology, Solid Organ Transplant and End Stage Renal Disease patients.
• 12 of the 24 beds will have 2:1 nursing ratio for patients needing fluid management and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care.
• Working 36 hours per week, rotating days/nights and every third weekend.
