The Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine seeks a board-certified pediatric surgeon to join our expanding clinical and academic program as an Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Pediatric Surgery.

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside seven pediatric general surgeons supported by advance practice professionals and trainees in a mission-driven and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of residency training in General Surgery, as well as fellowship in Pediatric Surgery
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery
• Eligibility for license to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky

Responsibilities

• Lead the UK Pediatric Surgery Quality Program by setting the vision and strategy. Develop, monitor, and improve patient-centered quality and safety metrics using evidence-based practices and innovative solutions.
• Provide exceptional clinical care to pediatric patients.
• Educate and mentor residents and medical students.
• Engage in innovative research and scholarly activities to advance the field of pediatric surgery.
