Job summary

Bon Secours Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Surgeon to support St. Mary's Hospital in providing surgical care to pediatric patients from newborns through teens.

The role includes collaboration with pediatric providers, a mix of clinic and OR time, and a range of procedures at a 391-bed Richmond facility with a dedicated pediatric ED and NICU. The position offers growth opportunities, teaching opportunities through residency programs, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Board-certified pediatric surgeon required for the role.
• Experience in managing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with other pediatric providers to diagnose and determine if surgery is necessary.
• Managing and performing preoperative, operative, and postoperative care.
• Provider will have a mix of patient appointments and surgical time.
• Procedures can include Appendectomy, Biopsy, Pyloric Stenosis, Hernia Repair, Cholecystectomy, I&D, device implants (gtube, VAD, etc.), Tracheotomy, exploratory lap, bowel resections.
• The Surgeon will receive referrals from our internal pediatric programs (Peds ED, Primary Peds, Pediatric Specialty Clinics, NICU, Inpatient Peds & PICU).
