Job summary

Dolly Parton Children's Hospital is seeking an additional Pediatric Surgeon to join our busy, well-established team focused on expert surgical care for children of all ages. The ideal candidate is board certified or eligible and fellowship trained in Pediatric Surgery and must be able to obtain a Tennessee Medical License.

This position offers a potential faculty appointment with UT Graduate School of Medicine and supports a pediatric residency program launching in 2027.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Pediatric Surgery.
• Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Surgery.
• Tennessee Medical License or eligible.
• Current DEA and DPS certificate of registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating pediatric patients.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify health care needs.
• Document medical findings and plans with accurate records.
• Prescribe treatments and coordinate with care teams as needed.
• Oversee mid-level staff and nursing staff as assigned.
• Maintain confidential medical records compliant with regulatory standards.
• Consult with Medical Director on patient care and education issues.
