Job summary

Children’s Clinics in Tucson, AZ seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech, language, and feeding services, including assessments, treatment, and parent coaching in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will conduct evaluations, develop plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy while collaborating with a team of professionals. The role includes education for families and documentation in the electronic health record; a Master’s in SLP and AZ SLP licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Two years related pediatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based approaches to planning and providing patient care; experience in measuring and reporting outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conducts age-appropriate clinical and functional speech-language/communication evaluations, develops therapy treatment plans based upon evaluation findings and patient/family input.
• Provides skilled, evidence-based therapy services and adapts treatment to patient’s progress and needs.
• Incorporates parents/guardians in treatment sessions using a coaching model.
• Collaborates within a multidisciplinary model with other providers (PT, OT, Audiology, Nutritionists).
• Provides ongoing education to parents/families/educators about speech-language and feeding therapies and their impact on quality of life, diagnoses and treatment.
• Documents evaluations, treatments, consultations, and education in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
• Participates in new staff orientation and ongoing staff education.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.
