Job summary

Kids for the Future’s Speech & Hearing Center in Chattanooga, TN seeks a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat children and adults with communication and swallowing disorders across ages. Join our clinical team and help restore function, improve quality of life, and empower clients to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing articulation, language, dysphagia and AAC

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current CCC-SLP certification from ASHA is required/preferred.
  • Experience in diagnostic evaluation and treatment across diverse populations is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to identify language, voice, articulation, fluency, and swallowing issues.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Provides articulation, language, dysphagia, and AAC therapy to improve communication and swallowing outcomes.
  • Applies fluency and voice therapy techniques to reduce stuttering and improve vocal quality.
  • Educates patients and families on treatment strategies and home exercises.
  • Documents progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
  • Supervises speech-language pathology assistants and students when applicable.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintains continuing education hours for state licensure and adheres to professional ethics.
