Job summary

Children's Developmental Center is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to develop and implement developmentally appropriate evaluation, assessment, and therapy programs for children with developmental delays enrolled at CDC using a direct services and parent coaching model.

The role requires an advanced degree in Speech-Language Pathology, WA SLP license, and ASHA CCC. It includes providing services in homes, childcare settings, and CDC, with team collaboration and supervision responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university program (Master’s Degree).
  • Washington State SLP license (DOH) is required.
  • ASHA registration with CCC is required (CCC--SLP).
  • WA driver’s license and vehicle with proof of insurance.
  • DSHS background check approval.
  • Infant/toddler CPR and Basic First Aid completed.
  • Bloodborne Pathogens training completed.
  • Experience with infants and toddlers with special health care needs.
  • Commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and equity in a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to commute locally (up to 10%).
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Immunization history and negative TB; COVID-19 vaccination required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement family-centered developmental evaluations and therapy plans.
  • Provide speech-language pathology services in natural environments for EI children and private-pay students at CDC.
  • Educate and collaborate with families and team members; participate in meetings and professional development.
  • Supervise SLP assistants, interns, or clinical fellows as assigned.
  • Maintain EHR records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
