Job summary

MultiCare Health System’s Children’s Village in Yakima seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to deliver clinical services to children with developmental needs within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess, diagnose and treat pediatric communication disorders, coordinating with physicians and therapists to optimize outcomes.

Requirements include CCC-SLP through ASHA or CFY with supervision, WA licensure or interim permit, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA or CFY in progress with supervision
• Licensed in Washington or interim permit
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, interpretation and reporting of clinical observations
• Perform patient assessments with physicians and develop treatment plans
• Conduct and interpret videofluoroscpic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic swallowing
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals

Join our Pediatric Therapy team at Children's Village! Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of a diverse group of dedicated professionals providing comprehensive therapy services to children with developmental delays and disabilities. We incorporate many general and specialty lines of service, offer a strong mentorship program.
Our team enjoys the following aspects of working at Children's Village:

• Serve children ages 3-18 through evidence-based services.
• Provide in-person services in clinic, and community-based settings, allowing families to receive support where children naturally learn and grow.
• As part of our Children's Village team, there are ongoing educational opportunities to further develop skills in relationship-based and family-centered practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, early childhood educators, nurses, and behavioral therapists to support positive developmental outcomes.

Position Summary
The Speech Pathologist is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, providing clinical services and communication with patients, families, and other professionals/service providers in the medical community. This professional position will allow you to apply your extensive knowledge and expertise in of speech pathology with all of your patients.
Responsibilities

• You will provide assessment, interpretation, and reporting of clinical observations
• You will perform patient assessments with physician and develop treatment plans
• You will perform and interpret results of Videofluoroscpic swallow studies and fiberoptic endoscopic of swallowing
• You will confer with physician and other health care professionals
  

Requirements

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Hearing-Language Association OR be in the process of completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with supervision by a CCC-SLP in accordance with standards defined by the ASHA
• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Washington or holding an interim permit
• Current BLS Certification required
• Previous Experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $44.42 - $67.33 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
