Job summary

Family of Kidz in Hawthorne, NY seeks a Pediatric Speech Therapist (SLP) to design and implement individual and group therapies for students.

You will collaborate with BCBA and educators, administer evaluations, manage AAC devices, and contribute to progress reporting and CSE meetings.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with NYSED certification.
• Clinical Fellows must have NYSED TSSLD.
• Experience with autism preferred.
• Experience programming AAC devices.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individual and group therapeutic interventions for caseload.
• Administer and create speech and language evaluations.
• Collaborate with BCBA and Special Educators on language and communication.
• Oversee AAC device usage for students.
• Utilize behavior management strategies during sessions.
• Maintain attendance and billing logs.
• Create and maintain schedules.
• Collect data on IEP goals and progress.

Location: Center Based- Hawthorne, NY

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-4:00p

Compensation

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist: $70,000-$85,000

Note: this is an average. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for your caseload.
• Administer and create speech and language evaluations.
• Ongoing communication and collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Special Educators specifically related to overall language and functional communication.
• Oversight of student’s Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
• Utilize students’ behavior management strategies and behavior intervention plans during sessions.
• Maintain professionalism with families, school districts, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.
• Create and maintain schedule.
• Collect data on each IEP goal and reports on progress quarterly.
• Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.
