Job summary

UE Children's Services in Hampton, VA seeks a Pediatric Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat pediatric clients in an outpatient setting. The role offers flexible PT/FT schedules, a collaborative care team, and a family-centered approach to care.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in SLP, an active Virginia license, and ASHA CCC-SLP, with strong documentation and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pediatric evaluations of speech, language, communication and related areas.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable, functional goals.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy tailored to each child.
• Monitor progress and update goals and recommendations as needed.
• Educate parents/caregivers on communication strategies and home carryover activities.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, BCBA’s, physicians, educators and other team members.
• Prepare accurate, payer-compliant evaluations, notes and reports.
• Maintain licensure, certification and continuing education requirements.

Essential Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
