Join Lots of Speech Pediatric Therapy as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) and play a vital role in enhancing communication skills for pediatric patients.

In this full-time role, you will work exclusively out of a single, collaborative ABA center in Fort Lauderdale, meaning zero travel between clinics or schools.

You will be directly supervised and mentored by Ashley Lotringer, M.S., CCC-SLP, an incredible, highly recommended, and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist.

This position offers a consistent 9-to-5 style schedule, working approximately 7-8 hours a day with a guaranteed daily break. You will implement specialized speech therapy programs, collaborate daily with ABA professionals, and foster effective communication skills to improve the quality of life for the children you serve.

Role Responsibilities

• Implement Treatment Plans: Execute personalized speech and language therapy interventions developed by the supervising SLP, focusing on articulation, language comprehension, social communication, and oral motor skills.
• Collaborative Care: Work seamlessly alongside RBTs, BCBAs, and other healthcare professionals within the ABA center to support comprehensive, multidisciplinary patient care.
• Monitor & Report: Track patient progress during each session, adjusting in-the-moment therapy techniques as directed, and report observations to the supervising SLP to help optimize outcomes.
• Assist with Assessments: Support the supervising SLP during patient screenings and evaluations through clinical observation and behavioral management.
• Family Education: Help educate patients and their families about communication strategies and exercises to support ongoing improvement at home, under the guidance of the SLP.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily progress notes and session data.
• Material Preparation: Prepare therapy materials and maintain a clean, organized, and engaging therapy environment.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in the state of Florida.
• Experience: Prior experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in early intervention, school settings, or alongside ABA therapy, is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of speech therapy techniques, child development, and basic anatomy related to speech functions.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly, compassionately, and enthusiastically to children and their parents.
• Team Player: Ability to work independently during therapy sessions while thriving within a highly collaborative, single-location team environment.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
