Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients ages 0–21 in a fast-paced setting. You will diagnose, develop and implement treatment plans, and communicate results to families and referral sources.

Experience with AAC is a plus, and there is interest in candidates willing to work Saturdays. Must have Master’s in SLP and be on track to complete the CCC-SLP by 10/29/2024 or within 12 months of starting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• ASHA CCC-SLP to be completed by 10/29/2024 or within 12 months of entering the role, whichever is later.
• SLP Intern TX Intern or TX-SLP licensure in Texas as required by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient evaluations/consultations and interprets results.
• Provides results verbally to patient and/or family/caregiver and/or to referral source.
• Develops treatment plan in conjunction with patient and/or family/caregiver.
• Implements treatment plan and monitors progress on an ongoing basis.
• Maintains records as required by law and IDS policy.
• Documents evaluation procedures, results, diagnoses, and recommendations.
• Attends and participates in continuing education to maintain licensure and promote growth.
• Promotes speech-language pathology services within the community and the IDS.
