Job summary

Pearland Modern Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to support clinicians and help deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist with procedures, and maintain a clean, sterile environment across operatories.

The role requires effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a dental team to ensure smooth schedules and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with state-mandated certification/training.
• Diploma/certifications required by state for dental assistants.
• Specialty assistants may need travel and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist clinicians to deliver Perfect Patient Experience (PPE).
• Escort patients to the front desk and introduce team members.
• Coordinate with front and back office for smooth orthodontic schedules.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and instrument sterilization.
• Prepare patients and assist dentist to enable efficient treatment.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral images as directed.
• Prepare tray setups and manage supplies in each operatory.
• Instruct patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene.
• Document patient charts and clinician notes in the digital chart.
• Present treatment records and health history to clinicians.
