Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Outpatient Pediatric Therapy department at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL. This PRN role focuses on delivering therapy interventions, education, and discharge planning to pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration required: Florida Speech-Language Pathology license (or provisional with 12 months to obtain).
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; CPR allowed from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapy interventions using standard techniques appropriate for patient condition.
• Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years experience

Associate's degree/Technical degree

4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience

One year of experience as an SLP
