Job summary

Ascension's Seton Highland Lakes Hospital in Burnet, TX is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Outpatient Pediatrics department. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on evaluating patient needs, designing personalized treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic care to support recovery.

You will document progress, educate families on rehabilitation strategies, and coordinate with physicians and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date; AHA or Red Cross accepted.
• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology; provisional license accepted until issued; license must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs with physicians, care teams and families to design personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic care and document progress to advance patients toward goals.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on rehabilitation strategies tailored to diagnosis.
• Manage daily caseload priorities and coordinate with therapy and medical teams for seamless care.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
