Responsibilities

  • Manages incoming calls in a fast-paced environment and triages clinical inquiries
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, InterMed colleagues and vendors
  • Remains calm in high-stress situations and uses crisis intervention when needed
  • Monitors telephone inquiries within EMR and prioritizes patient needs via portal inquiries
  • Refills prescriptions and provides test results per protocol
  • Performs administrative tasks: obtain medical records, referral information, schedule/reschedule appointments
  • Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA and InterMed policies
