Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking an experienced RN for the Practice – Pediatrics position on the Day shift. This role provides comprehensive ambulatory pediatric nursing care, from assessment through evaluation, within a collaborative healthcare team and electronic medical records environment.

The successful candidate will be a graduate nurse with an active Virginia license or eligibility, BLS-HCP is required, and ACLS/PALS/NRP may be necessary depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing required.
• Experience: None.
• Current RN license in Virginia or eligibility required.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by unit.
• Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including EMR.
• Career Advancement Program eligibility based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in ambulatory pediatrics.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Document age-appropriate assessments and care plans.
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer treatments and medications; document in EMR.
• Support patient flow and resource use; orient new staff.
