Job summary

Nemours Children’s Health in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology to lead clinical care, education, research and program development for the division.

The Chief will oversee diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders in children, drive faculty development, and advance patient- and family-centered care through strategic planning and collaboration with other subspecialists.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in pediatric rheumatology or related specialty.
• Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical leadership or practice in pediatric rheumatology.
• Strong communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction, growth, and operational oversight of the Pediatric Rheumatology Division.
• Recruit, mentor and evaluate physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Participate in departmental leadership meetings and hospital initiatives.
• Develop and implement policies, clinical pathways and performance improvement plans.
• Provide expert diagnosis and management of pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases.
• Oversee inpatient and outpatient rheumatology services.
• Foster multidisciplinary collaboration with other pediatric subspecialists, nursing, rehabilitation and social services.
