Qualifications

• Documentation of current CPR/BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and changes preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of respiratory therapy care based on physician’s orders.
• Maintain accurate records as defined by respiratory therapy standards.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
• Provide respiratory training to children and families.

Skills

Certification from an accredited respiratory therapy program

Ventilator experience

Pediatric experience

CPR/BLS certification

Ability to communicate effectively in English

Education

Licensure to practice in the state of Iowa
