Job summary

The Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research at Indiana University is seeking a basic research technician to support immunology and allergic disease studies. You will work with mouse models and in vitro systems, perform molecular biology techniques, and contribute to data analysis under supervision.

The role emphasizes rigorous data management, collaboration with students and staff, and maintaining lab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
• Experience with omics analyses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research with animal models (mice) and in vitro cultures and all associated duties.
• Conducts animal and in vitro research on mechanisms pertaining to the development of allergies.
• Maintains mouse colonies and mouse models of disease.
• Performs laboratory techniques, tests, processes, and methods including flow cytometry, ELISAs, qPCR, genotyping, molecular biology, cell culture, and data analysis.
• Performs a wide variety of complex experiments and reports results.
• Keeps organized analytical data of performed experiments.
