Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Pediatric PMR sub-specialist to provide consultative services on both inpatient and outpatient pediatric programs, including spasticity management, on-site M-F 8-5 with no overnight calls. The role emphasizes team-based care and quality initiatives within the pediatric hospitalist and rehab teams.

The candidate should be board certified or eligible in PM&R with pediatric subspecialization and hold or be pursuing a pediatric PM&R fellowship,

Qualifications

• MD/DO required; Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine or completed Combined Pediatrics-PM&R.
• Board eligible/certified subspecialist in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Consultation/follow up PMR care for hospital inpatient pediatric patients.
• Consultation/follow up PMR care for Pediatric Day Treatment Program patients.
• Consultation/follow up PMR care for outpatient pediatric patients including spasticity management.
• Participation in weekly hospital inpatient pediatric unit team conference.
• Involvement in patient length of stay management and discharge planning.
• Participation in hospital pediatric quality and safety committees as needed.

Pediatric PMR sub-specialist provides physiatry consultative services on both the University hospital pediatric rehabilitation unit and outpatient pediatric day treatment program.
