Job summary

UVA Health's Outpatient Pediatric Therapies department seeks a Rehabilitation Technician to support mobility and therapy sessions in an outpatient setting in Charlottesville, VA.

Under supervision of licensed staff, you will assist with mobility, prep equipment, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while collaborating with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to promote patient recovery.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• No experience required.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with mobility activities and therapeutic exercises as directed by licensed clinicians.
• Support rehabilitation sessions by preparing equipment and ensuring a safe environment.
• Manage and maintain rehabilitation equipment, ensuring availability and cleanliness.
• Promote early and ongoing mobility to patients and families per care plans.
• Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
• Ensure a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
• Participate in professional growth activities and maintain skills and competencies.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
