Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) 10P Medical Surgical Unit seeks a dedicated RN for an inpatient floor serving ages 0–18 with neurosurgical, trauma, orthopedic, and cystic fibrosis diagnoses. The 26-bed unit values teamwork, flexibility, and compassionate care.

Expectations include 1 year inpatient nursing experience preferred (6 months minimum outside the New Grad residency), state RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year inpatient nursing experience preferred; at least 6 months required outside New Grad residency.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
