Job summary

Cook Children's Medical Center is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychologist to provide psychological testing and therapy for children and adolescents aged 2–18, within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes testing expertise alongside therapy, grounded in knowledge of pediatric growth and brain development.

Candidates should hold a Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD), be licensed in Texas or eligible for licensure, and possess CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited institution.
• Training in child growth and development.
• Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and trauma-informed care (preferred).
• Understands the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents.
• Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological testing and assessment for children and adolescents.
• Provide therapy as part of a multi-disciplinary team to address behavioral, developmental, and emotional challenges.
• Support diagnosis and treatment planning for pediatric/adolescent mental health conditions.
