Job summary
MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in patients' homes. This role supports 8–12 hour shifts with flexible day/night schedules across the Greater Houston area, serving children with varied medical needs while collaborating with families and the care team.
Current Texas RN license and CPR certification are required; a valid driver's license and auto insurance are needed.
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance
- Pediatric home health experience preferred, but not required. New graduate RNs are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric clients in a home setting for 8–12 hour shifts.
- Assess client conditions during each visit, monitor vital signs and care for devices (G‑tubes, tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators).
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plan.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
