Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating treatments and interventions for patients.
• Educates patients and family on condition, diet, medication schedules and treatment side effects.
• Ensures patient safety and coordinates referrals with services.
• Maintains accurate patient records.
• Acts as a preceptor in accordance with UMMC guidelines.
• Reports patient issues to supervisor and participates in committees or projects to improve care.
• Demonstrates core standards of exceptional customer service.
