Job summary

Children’s Minnesota is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional family-centered care for infants, children, and adolescents as delegated by a provider or RN. The role includes recording patient information, preparing medications, and assisting with procedures under clinician guidance.

The position requires completion of MA training (or an LPN/LVN or RN program) and a current BLS certification, with pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR completion of an LPN/LVN (preferred) or RN program.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam room and document information.
• Prepare and administer medications and injections as directed by a clinician.
• Perform procedures and tests (e.g., strep testing, nebulizer treatments, urine catheterizations) as directed by clinician.
• Perform laboratory specimen collection and processing with patient dignity and confidentiality.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.
