Job summary

Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with the Michigan State Plastic Surgery residency program, offers a 1 year research internship (July 2027-2028) to gain exposure to clinical and systems-based research in pediatric plastic surgery.

The intern will assist with manuscript writing, study protocols, abstracts/presentations, and IRB submissions, while supervising medical students. This yearlong role is housed in the Office of Research Support (ORS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably enrolled in an MD program at an accredited university.
• Open to recent graduates with a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree pursuing further studies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of research projects.
• Assist with grant proposals and manuscript development.
• Prepare abstracts and presentations for scientific conferences.
• Support regulatory requirements and IRB processes with ORS.
• Maintain records of protocols, amendments, and IRB activities.
