UNC Health Medical Group in Granite Falls, NC is seeking a Pediatrician for a traditional outpatient role. Join a collaborative team of partners in a well-established practice serving children and adolescents with well visits, acute visits and mental health care.

We offer a 4-day clinic week, ~20 patients per day, and a 1 in 6 on-call schedule with ED/UC support nearby. Located in the beautiful western North Carolina region with easy access to outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Pediatrics required and board certification preferred.
• Outpatient pediatric care experience in a collaborative setting.
• Ability to manage newborns, children and adolescents with well and acute visits.

Responsibilities

• Work in a traditional outpatient model in Granite Falls, NC with a team of partners.
• Clinic volume about 20 patients per day over 4 days a week.
• Handle well-checks and acute visits including mental health.
• Share after-hours call with the group (1 in 6 on average).
• Collaborate with an adjacent Pediatric Urgent Care for patient access.

Pediatric Physician Opportunity in Beautiful Western, NC

UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. Caldwell Physicians and UNC Health Medical Group provide the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations and 137 bed hospital. Caldwell is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician for a position in a traditional outpatient model with a team of experienced partners.

Practice Highlights:

• Collaborative team of 5 providers in a busy/mature practice!
• Clinic volume - 4 days a week, average of 20 patients a day. Mix of newborns, children and adolescents. Well checks and acute visits, including mental health.
• Call of 1 in 6- Call includes ED/UC calls, inpatient pediatrics and back-up triage calls for Mulberry and Falls patients (after nurse triage screens first). Typically less than 10 calls in a week, some nights with no calls. Limited general inpatient pediatric admissions from the ED, typically less than 15 admissions in a year.
• Located next to a Pediatric Urgent Care, the only one in the region. It is located in an Upper Suite at The Falls Pediatrics, open seven days per week with a dedicated staff.
