Abilities First Foundation in Middletown, NY is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our pediatric therapy team. You will evaluate children, design plans of care, and deliver evidence-based treatments in our outpatient setting.

Collaborate with teachers and therapists, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to a supportive, family-centered environment with a flexible schedule and no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with active license.
• Must hold Ohio license or Multi-State Compact license.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Pediatric therapy experience preferred.
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and establishes plan of care appropriate to child's need for therapy services.
• Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner for children.
• Create and implement individualized programs to meet the students' needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to create innovative evidence-based programming options.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work and treatment space.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation.

Abilities First is a community-based agency with 3 departments: The Therapy Department, Autism Learning Center, and Early Childhood Learning Center. The Therapy Department consists of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy. At Abilities First, we provide outpatient therapy to our Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) clients and school- based services to our Autism Learning Center (ALC) students.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Licensed Physical Therapist, Ohio and or Multi- State Compact License (Required)
• Active License in corresponding discipline
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (in-house training available
• Pediatric experience is highly preferred
• Experience working with childing with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly preferred
